I´m a "Yes" person. A people pleaser if you wish.
When I read Jamie Ridler´s prompt for today´s Wishcasting Wednesday my Censor grabbed me by the shoulders.
"Have you gone MAD woman?. Are you actually going to say NO?!?!?!", she asked wild eyed.
Her strength was such that I had to take myself out of the house to answer the question. The busyness of the day at the car wash place distracted her enough so I could sneak the answers in my morning pages notebook.
I could also sneak in a coffee under Inner Critic´s nose. He (funny how I think of Censor as she and Inner Critic as he) is the one that has been saying No to me. As in "You can not go and have a coffee by yourself".
Unfortunately Censor got wind of my intentions once I was back home. I will keep my list in my notebook, ok?
This post is just to let you know it has been done. You´ll have to trust me on this one. :)

Ah, I'm a bit of a people pleaser, too! I love how you have personified your Inner Critic and your Censor. It's probably easier to work around them when you can picture them living separately from you. I may have to borrow this idea!
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is you wish for, I wish for you also, dear Paula! Very interesting on the gender choices of your critic and censor. I have been under the impression that they were one and the same person within me. But now you've got me thinking....
ReplyDeleteI love your description of your Inner Critic and Censor - never have thought of them as separate. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you!!
ReplyDeleteYou did much better than I did on this one. This is the first Wednesday I didn't post an answer in a very long time. Your post made me think a little bit more about why I found it so difficult.
