This morning just before leaving home I felt the
bird house I painted yesterday looked a bit bare in patches so I added some more flowers. It has been already handed in at my teacher´s workshop for the exhibition. Yay! Done! My list checking self is happy.

My working table today. Yes, it´s our dining room table. Big enough for my creativity. I´m a Super Nova when I work. :D I expand and expand and expand.

Today I made a gift bag for a pre-teen girl. I used my scrapbooking papers plus ribbon, foam alpha and butterfly embellies made by one of my classmates.

The white on our grass is not snow, it´s the fluffy cotton that our neighbour´s "palo borracho" tree is sheding now. It looks really cool.
The bag you made for Sofia is lovely. What a great use of a variety of materials. Thanks for explaining the tree and the snow-look-alikes on the grass. Had never heard of that type of tree before.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog. I did realize that I had put the wrong link. Love the flowers on the bird house.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea for a gift bag! I'll have to remember that. You are so gosh durn creative Paula! I love the birdhouse too. My daughter said, "Oooh that's cute!" She's 10. :)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful package that holds something dear! Love the birdhouse too!
ReplyDeleteBirdhouse is fantastic and so well done ~ Love the gift bag and she will too! ~thanks, namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey) Happy CED ^_^
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post - a plethora of goodies to check out! I adore packages that are all prettied up - unfortunately mostly I use premade or simply the comic papers from the Sunday papers (that is a family tradition that I have passed along to my kids). LOVE the birdhouse - am big into birdhouses and I made one with hanging forks/knives/spoons for my garden goddess this year. I'd love to have a yard full of different kinds of birdhouses and maybe one day I'll get precise enough to make some that fit together! Meanwhile I get the $1 ones from the cheap bin at one of the local craft stores. Thansk for al lthe inspiration (and I'd love to see one of those trees - how cool!)
ReplyDeleteI love the bag you have made and the gorgeous bird house! Valerie
ReplyDeleteYour bird house is adorable. I constantly scan thrift stores for houses to make into my projects. My mantle has six of them, assorted shapes and sizes, honoring both Emily Dickinson and Virginia Woolf.
ReplyDeleteYour workspace reminds me of mine and I do the same thing... I have created a W.I.P bag so I easily store everything overnight. LOL.
So great to read of your adventures!
You know, I never thought about embellishing gift bags before. Love that idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!
You did a lovely job on the gift bag and birdhouse, Paula! I tend to be a Super Nova too when I work. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great day! xo
Great gift bag Paula, x
