Paint Party Friday #6

Remember last week I was playing with modeling paste and acrylics? I had gotten this far:It looks a bit on the childish side but it is all mine. *cheesy grin* I painted the white petals with acrylic paint and went over the borders with black pen. Not satisfied with the pink stems in dimensional paint (green was not working so I took some poetic licence ;) ) I kept going with green pen.
My daughter lent me some puffy stickers for the centers.

Finished painting on my colourful shelf. The girl is a McD´s toy that says Chicks Rock. It goes very well with my wish for this Wishcasting Wednesday. The tin was a gift from my friend Marja, as many of the ribbons in the jars. Thanks again sweetie! :)
My next project:
As you may see, some (ok, many, lol) of my materials come from my daughter´s stash. This time it´s a Hello Kitty sticker and a few puffy ones.

It does have a childlike quality but that's a good thing-it just looks so innocent and carefree and I love the pink stems - yay for artistic licence!!

Happy flowers full of life. Gotta love that! They turned out beautifully.

And I have my OWN stash of Hello Kitty goodies (no daughter to blame). I'm a big fan... So I'm intrigued where you will go with this piece! ;)

What darling little spring flowers! Their simplicity would go great in a baby's nursery or like Jaime said a greeting card. Happy weekend!

I love the painting with the flowers, it looks very happy and joyful. "Hello Kitty" reminds me of the years when my daughter's age only was a one-digit number (sigh!).

I wouldn't say it's childish, maybe whimsical is a better word. Lots of famous artists painted in this manner, so give yourself a kudos for a job well done. It looks great on your shelf with all your other colorful eye candy! Thank you for stopping by to visit me too. Have a Happy Easter!
