Paint Party Friday

Let me introduce you to the gang. :) I started painting classes on Fridays this month and these are my classmates: Sabine, Marta, Cristina, Susana, Cecilia, our teacher Monica and Alejandra. We are all working on different techniques and pieces at our own pace. That is what attracted me to this particular class. I´m after techniques, not final product so to be able to pick and choose was just what I needed.

This is what I´ve been working on this week
The white frame from last week has now a decoupage rose with dimension (adding paste over the first image and covering it witha second copy) and a transfered image. My first! *grin* I´ll be transfering on every white surface available now, including the back and the inside of the frame.
My art journal got decoupaged covers. That is the first layer. I still don´t know how it will develop.
Box # 1: working on a texture. It has a meringue look so far. Planning on a carved thingie (need to look that word up ;) ) and patina. Maybe silver foil. Or not.
Box # 2: quick uneven layer of paste. No idea whatsoever what´s next.

Box #3: hasn´t been started. I already know it will involve vertical stripes.

The class appears to be quite happy doing their own thing. I really like the way the frame is coming along, very pretty. It will be fun to see where you go with the boxes.

Now It took me four PPF'S to realize I need to to learn some things before actually trying to create my little painting.I agree with trying out techniques; I'm getting quite intrigued with them so I guess mine will be experimental for a while . Wish I could be in your class....looks fun!
