Three friends

My table this week:After watching one of Donna Downey´s tutorial videos, I wanted to try the coloured modeling paste with stencils.
Phase 1: learnt how to colour the paste with my teacher Mónica. Applied with circles stencil. These are going to be flowers. :)
See how yummy this texture is. Thick and colourful.
Annnnd, you know me. I use everything till the tiniest scrap. So I used the acrylics I had left to practice textures. Mónica lent me some combs to play. :)
When I has used up my paint I asked her which other colour I could add to my pink, green and orange. She gave me some options and told me this story:
Blue, yellow and red (primary colours) are three friends. When two of them go out together (as in yellow and blue making green), their complement is the one they left out (in this case red).
Want a close up? Here it is:

Very yummy textures and I love the story about the colors. Great way to remember the complimentary colors if you don't have a color wheel handy.

I love texture, When a work of art has texture I can't help but want to run my fingers over it. That is a great story about the colors, I had never heard it put that way.
