Tip of the week: think before you act. Or rather, think before you paint. Unless, of course, you are working with intuitive painting in which case you may disregard this tip completely. :D
The original plan was to trace the rose from the frame (I added some porcelain under it for dimension) and use it as a wallpaper design for my "girl in the doorway" transfer. So far, so good.
What actually happened after I gleefully traced, copied and even painted the outlines was that I never checked the sizing. As in rose on the frame, rose in the frame, all good. BUT, now I have a wallpaper that has a design as big as the girl´s head. :(
The original plan was to give the wall a "wash" of colour and then build the intensity of it in layers. What actually happened was that I was so desperate to cover those flowers that I added the second colour before the first one was totally dry, resulting in an undescriptable tone (ok, I confess I have thought of many words to describe it, none was suitable for posting ;) ).
PS: something wrond happened to her eyes, but I´ll spare you the details. Yes, I love you that much. :)

The tip for these drips would be: more is better. I used too little paint and it took a lot of water to make it drip resulting in a washy look.

I agree! And it's fun, too, even when you have problems. And hey, I love roses, so roses as big as my head might be a good thing. :)

That's what I need to do more often, experiment! As long as you are having fun. Big roses are the best. I do have a lot of those in my yard. Enjoy. Happy PPF!
