The contract

The day has come. It is time to sign your contract. You´ll find it at the end of the introduction in your book.

Do you really HAVE TO? Well, no, but it is a nice thing for you to do for yourself. J You are committing to try your best. You are committing to take care of yourself. And that is a good thing.

Ready? Go get a pencil, or your best fountain pen or your favourite glitter one. Which is the one that makes you smile? Choose that one. If you don´t want to write on your book, make a copy of the contract. Now … sign it.

What have we seen so far in the introduction?

-The morning pages. Julia Cameron recomends three daily long hand written pages in the morning. I feel comfortable with two A4 pages, as early as possible (even if it means 9am or 3pm. ;) )

- The artist´s date. Go somewhere to replenish your creative well.

Some of you will take reading this book as a complete multi media, all singing and dancing journey and might be willing to add meditation to your daily practices. Some of you are now nodding enthusiastically. Others are considering it with some degree of curiosity. And still others are howling: "Noooooooo. I´d love to, but I have no time." Whichever your case is, you might find this video helpful: The One Moment meditation. It´s kind of cute. I promise.

Show and tell time: Have you signed your contract? Have a picture to share? Have you started your morning pages during the introduction?

How to share with MrLinky: you type in your name in the first box (the way you´d introduce yourself) and then the url/link to your post (not your whole blog url) where you share your work with the current chapter. When you come back next week your name will likely automatically be entered but you need to redo or paste over the url/link with your new post's address.

Next week: we will start reading Chapter 1 and start working on the tasks. Do not forget your morning pages and the artist´s date. :)

The contract has been signed and I'm working on those morning pages. So far so good. It's going to be quite a journey...I'm excited, nervous, curious. Can't wait to see where it takes me. :)

Contract signed--although it's digitally signed since I downloaded the book for my Kindle because I can't find my original copy. I'm off to do morning pages now while it's still morning here. :)

Contract is signed, Morning pages are started, and I've posted to my blog. So excited about this and looking forward to the abundance of creative fruits that will surely flow from it. Best wishes to all! xo

Hi Paula,

I started this with a friend earlier but may check-in from time to time with you as well. I like parts of this book and dislike others. So I have decided to participate on my own terms - no contract for me. I did do the morning pages this morning and have read the introduction (and more). Like Kim, I'm reading it on my Kindle.

Not sure if I will create posts or just comment here. For now it is commenting.

Good luck everyone! Have fun!

I can't sign a contract 'cause I borrowed it from the library. I'm going to see if I can copy that page or something like that. :)

Thank you so much for the link to the Meditation Moment training. It's counter-intuitive, but something about it feels very powerful to me.
