Paint Party Friday #13

This week´s theme: "There are girls in this house, you know" One of them being me. ;)
Another stage for Tati´s necklace hanger. I painted the shelf green and the hangers bright Barbie pink. The lower part has a first hand of pastel pink. I will finish it today with two more hands of pastel pink and varnish. Next week: the whole process picture mosaic.
Not paint related but fun anyway. Got Tati some Hello Kitty stickers. She has this album and each time she has a duplicate she can use it wherever she wants (she is very crafty and makes cards and minibooks), the second time she gets that same one ... it´s mine! :D Plus I bought some Sarah Key and Holly Hobbie ones for me. You will see them featured in my journals.
Jamie Ridler´s Wishcasting Journal is a wonderful source of inspirational prompts. Like Wishcasting Wednesdays but handcrafted. I decided to use it as an art journal. It has pictures taken from magazines (Have you noticed? There are faces there, whereas you won´t find faces on my Full Moon Boards) This time I wrote the nouns in fine point markers and them painted the frames with pencils. I also made some patchwork background that goes under the list that I attached with staples.

Another "not painting related now but will be painting related in a few weeks time" item:
I will read "The Artist´s way" by Julia Cameron intro during June and will do the chapters from July 1st. One chapter each fortnight. Due to my crazy busy schedule doing a week a week is asking for trouble. :D The point is to relight my creativity, not to send me into a pit of dispair because I´m behind with yet another project!

If anybody fancies joining me and my friend Sabine I will be posting Check In posts on Sundays from July 3rd. :) I´m making a list of kindred souls interested in taking part of the fun, the sharing and the exploring. If you want to join us drop me a line in the comments section and I´ll add your name to the right hand side bar.

What a pretty little shelf/jewelry hanger. Love those colors together! I wish there were girls in the house here. I have a husband, two sons and a male dog and male cat! Too much testosterone in this place. I'm happy to look at your feminine work.

Love the Girls in the House hanger! Great idea, lovely spring colors and I'm happy to hear you are so busy participating in so many projects and are STILL able to create something awesome for this week's PPF. I need a book on Time Management after I find The Artist's Way. I will have to buy it if I can't find it in storage. I'm interested in joining you...and I love those artist dates! :)

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Your daughter's necklace hanger is looking prettier and prettier! Lovely work. Glad to be joining you with The Artist's Way. I haven't started the introduction yet. I'm such a procrastinator! Having deadlines always helps, though.

Your shelf is adorable, love the color combination! And the Artist Way is one of my favorite books! I think it should be a prerequisite in high school! Enjoy the journey, you will learn so much just in the morning pages! Happy ppf!

Paula one of my guilty pleasures is 'Hello Kitty' I have a small dangling collection of mini ones that hang from my camera bag, my eldest daughter first bought me one when she was about 8 & I was so happy she's 16 now & still buys them for me because she said I get such a big smile whenever I open a new one LOL...
Love the necklace hanger :) Also your comment about reigniting creativity & pacing yourself as opposed to frantic excess projects sending you into the pit of despair - very funny!!! Have a great week & enjoy all your wonderful activities :)
