Paint Party Friday #23

This week is a.k.a: playing with a brayer.
Oh, you´ve noticed the faces! Yes, I´m up to something for next week.
And you´ve also noticed the white brush holder. Yes, it´s still white. I have a hazy idea of what I want but I don´t really know where to start. And even less idea of where to go on.
Colours are much more subdued than in real life.
My favourite: several pinks, butter, apple green, porcelain green, blue, more green and purple.
The greens are prettier & subtly different. I have a love/hate relationship with the red strip.
Nice turquoise peeking through the pinks. Next stage, more blues on top.
Picture of my brayer for Deb (Geckostone)
Now if you want to see what you can do with a brayer and ink, see this post by my very talented friend Toni.

Thank you for the kind mention. I love the colours you have been using - the one with the turquiose peeking through is my favourite.
Have you tried using the brayer on glossy paper with your ink pads? I was surpised by how different the same colours could look just using different papers.

Brayers are fun! They can be unpredictable, which leads to happy accidents. :) Happy Painting!

Oh, I just LOVE those colours together. I never would have thought of it. I also love playing with a brayer. I like the sound it makes when you roll it across paint on a piece of glass.

I love the semi-transparent layers you're able to get with this technique. Never thought to try the brayer with ink pads. Guess what I'm trying next....

Those colros are absolutely scrumptious!! And is that Julia Roberts face at the bottom of that little stack of faces? Her mouth is recognizable anywhere.

"colors" is what I meant.

I love using my brayer!! Love the colors that you used! You know you should also have one that you let get messy. So that is give another dimension. I have one clean one and one that I let the paint on it. Happy PPF!
