What guidance do you wish for?

Wednesday morning at 6.50AM I entered the kitchen to make breakfast and turned the computer on. I like to read the question first thing in the morning so I can have it simmering for a while before coming here to write my wish. Most weeks the answer comes as a flash, some others it takes longer with a bit of meditating or just a bit of faffing.

This week Jamie´s Wednesday Wishcasting question made me smile. I had already used it at 6.20! Right after showering I asked for guidance ... on what to wear. Lol. I know, not a "serious"

matter. :D But I had to wear something!

Today I´m going to school to see Tati play a "future girl" and a martian. All in the frame of Literature´s class. They are working with theatre plays this year. They read them, they went to a real theatre to see one and now the last step is to write, produce and play their own.

My goal for this spring is to look pretty, healthy and fun. {Got this from long ramblings in my morning pages} To look as a mom of two teens but not run down. That subtle middle ground where I´m experienced but not "over" yet. I´m not a young little thing (my daughter is starting to wear some styles that I no longer feel comfortable with) but not my own mother´s age either (she is quite modern though).
I wish for guidance with my looks. The perfect mix between experience and youth. :)

I love your wish Paula. I think that feeling like you look your best make you feel better so with that in mind it might just be a serious matter:) lol. I love that you are always thinking of your kids and yourself at the same time.

As you wish for yourself, I too wish for you.

Your wish is so familiar to me! I have the hardest time these days looking like "Me".. I want who I am to be reflected in what people see when they look at me... such a hard thing to figure out...
As you wish for yourself, I wish for you - and all of us! - also!

That is a great wish - I'll bet you're a great and fun mom! Love that necklace in the photo, too. As you wish for yourself, I wish also for you.

To look pretty, healthy, and fun. Amazing what comes out of those Morning Pages, isn't it? I can relate to how you feel - I'm too old to be trendy, but too young to dress old! What ARE we supposed to wear, anyway?!

As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also. :)

Maybe not a "serious" matter but an important one! How we look, and how we feel about how we look, affects and influences everything we do. I think this is a great wish!

As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well.

I think you're in a really special place ~ embrace these years, and find ways to look and feel just as beautiful as you really are! Enjoy!

What a wonderful wish! Truth be told, I think more women could do with asking for guidance on their looks. We are in an awkward place, style wise, and you've articulated it well. As Paula wishes for herself, so do I wish for her also!

I know what you mean Paula . When I went to my kids school activities when they were in high school , I use to think gosh! I don't look like I love myself , so I would start making clothes that were fun and were most of all ME! I think if your gonna have fun feeling pretty , your an artist of many talents , its time to feel fun and pretty , bcause your a pretty gal , don't forget it! : )

As you wish for yourself , I wish for you also: )

I too wish for guidance in this area. I am at a totally different stage in life yet I still struggle with how I want to look everyday. I guess I am still searching for my personal style and will have to keep on looking. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well. Thank for sharing your wish. It made me realize I still have to look a little deeper into myself.
