What do you wish to make time for? My own mid chapter 8 check in

How´s that for a short post? The whole of it in the title. *giggle*
I´m a bit behind with my own check in. Mostly because I´ve been avoiding it. ;)
So let´s get it out of the way first, ok?
Morning pages: at an all time low. I missed at least three days and wrote half the required amount three other days.
No dates.
Just read the chapter but no work of my own.
Darn. I need to sit with this chapter and work out why I´m resisting it so much.
Now, onto the time subject:

I wish to make time for planning.
As I told Camilla earlier today, the world is so full of yummy opportunities that having to choose just one seems daunting. What if that other one was better for me? I have to remind myself that whatever comes my way is for my own good. I need to learn that lesson at that point.

I enrole in too many e-courses/seminars and such. I receive a few e-mails a day with videos, chats, podcats. They all take time. I need to work them into my daily "live" life and sometimes I get this distraught haunted look of overwhelm.

Is it worth it? Is all that learning doing something for me if I´m even more anxious than before? I have been deleting e-mails without reading them this week.

I need some of that time back to complete things with my own hands. Like the Wishcasting Journal that has been neglected. I can vouch for the focusing on the wishes working time and time again.
Or the art journaling and paintings for Paint Party Fridays.
I wish to really sit and read The artist´s way with my head in the book and not in the list of to dos. Another thing: read it. Not read one thing while listening to one of The World´s Biggest Summit interviews. Those are good for ironing though. :D
I always make time for these. :) Picture taken last Sunday.

I too have a lot of resistance to Chapter 8. It is unearthing a lot of emotions for me from my early adulthood. And get rid of the word "required" when referring to the quantity of Morning Pages! There are no rules. Make your own rules! It is quality, not quantity that matters. I often write only 2 pages, but feel that is plenty for what I need to express that day.

There are many e-courses I would like to take, but while doing The Artist's Way journey, I have refrained from committing to anything other than Wishcasting and Full Moon Dreamboards. And I read a handful of blogs and emails that inspire me. But I want to devote the bulk of my emotional energy to The Artist's Way, and not be distracted by a zillion other things that call for my attention.

I wish you luck with taking back your own time, and narrowing your focus to the things that are truly fulfilling to you.

As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also.

It looks to me like you are making time for the most important things! As you wish for yourself, so I also wish for you.

When you love to learn it is so hard to resist when all types of wonderful opportunities are right at your fingertips. But it is good to remember that you can't do or read or even listen to it all.
As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well.

I think by this point even though we're sticking to it we could be doing more but again, what's so great about our group is that we are kind and patient with each other (and ourselves) through the process, which doesn't discourage us from going forward even when we haven't done all morning pages or gone out on artist dates. It helps to read posts by other participants and know that we are not alone. Love your family pics. You know what's imporant in life and family is what it's all about, chica! Hugs and keep on keepin' on!! :)

I know what you mean Paula. I have so been neglecting my artist way as well. Every sunday, I think Im suppose to be blogging with Paula and it makes me feel bad cuz I know that writting theses pages are important for me and the only way I get to do it is by participating with you and it makes ya feel like a failure at least for me.
I hope to get back on track with the artist way project with you, but thanks for making me realize that you have catching up too and that makes me feel better about not being there as well. I always feel better when I know Im not the only one. : )
Thats a beautiful picture of you and your family by the way. : )

I have been reading the chapters and doing some of the work - but it has been a challenge to do more blogging - I feel tired all the time and Sundays go by in a blur.
Chap. 8 tho is going much slower! I hope to blog next week about it.
You are making time for the most important thing - your family! What a lovely photo!
have a wonderful weekend coming up!

You are such an organized person Paula, I am amazed at your passion :D

PS: May I know which part of B. Aries are you staying? I would love to meet up with you if I get a change to visit Argentina :D

Having time to do everything is challenging enough, but having time to enjoy everything sometimes seems impossible. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you.
