AEDM 2011: Day 8 Who fancies some pizza for breakfast?

Frida does! She kept coming back to the door because she never wants to miss anything, be it a pat or more food. :DWorking in the kitchen again on November 7th (I post every day what I created the day before)
As Carolyn commented it depends on what you are trying to achieve. For the rest of the page I took Gwen´s advice for colouring and used my pencils first and water with a brush second.
Lessons I learnt this time around (adding to yesterday´s list):

*Don´t be tempted to go with the same brush from one colour to another, even if it is a very pale yellow. It will blend, or even worse muck.
*It is quite useful to have one glass with water to clean the brush, a cloth to dry it and another glass with clear water for the following colour.
*Never leave your coffee mug next to your water. Lol!

I love what watercolour does at the edges, when wet colours meet.

What I normally do is wet my brush and take the paint from the pencil with the wet brush; that was what I was trying to say the other day.

Your work is lovely and colourful and yes I stick my brush in my tea too....sometimes intentionally :)
Keep experimenting!

lol, Paula! I have done the coffee thing more than I care to say. Your artwork is cool. I have been playing with line and curves recently for a banner I am working on. Last night I colored it and it reminded me of how I would write my name in cursive and color in the spaces as a kid. Your art has that same feel. :)

Frida is beautiful and I love the look on her face.

Paint brushes and coffee cups...yep been there (on more than one occasion).

The ribbons in the pic of my Chrismas planner are to decorate the book rings once everything is finished.

I so enjoy this sort of art making. Simple, color and shape exploration. Not holding ourselves into too tight a box. Lovely.

Frida is so sweet! And your colors are beautiful.

Well I think some of us have found that we have something in common...we can't keep a drink next to our paint water...LOL!! Now the bad thing is when you don't realize you have been doing that until you start to take a drink of your coffee or tea. ^_^

I love your paintings...very colorful

LOL..yes, I learned very quickly in the early painting days to keep my coffee on the opposite side of the table to the water jars.

The page is looking great...kinda abstract and lots of colour.

Frida is adorable!! What breed is she? A Weimaraner??

actually one of my "tests" of great pizza is if it taste good when cold in the morning. There are a number who pass that test, But not all...
As far as the paint goes - water color or acryllic? I seem to miss that. I use watercolor exclusively and some times use hot water because i am impatient!.

Oh how many times I have dipped my brush in my coffee or tea :0(

I think most of us have at one time or another stuck our brush into our drink! That item on your list made me smile.

had to return and i also smiled because i have gropped my brush into water ever i was drinking to paint (the best was some alcohol). I have favorite brushes which i clean well before moving from one color to another and do not seem to have the problem of bleed over or muck...

I can attest to the coffee mug by your water bit! I've not dipped my brush in my tea but I have grabbed the brush water to drink before!
