For Paint Party Friday I will show you my work so far for Ayala Art´s 29 faces in September. You can find what I did for May´s edition here. 
This week we had a look at our mugs collection. How can we tell a mug from another? How can we personalize a plain mug? This week I invited my dear friend Toni from "My world ...sort of..." to show us how.
Toni is a multitalented artist. She is a wonderful card maker with an awesome colouring technique, a seasoned knitter and now she is also dabbling into jewelery making.
Here´s what she does with her mugs:
There are lots of patterns/instructions available on the Web for making Mug
Hugs and they are available in all skill levels so even the most inexperienced
knitter can find something that they can cope with. So armed with some instructions, some scraps of yarn and a set of knitting
needles you will be ready to start.
Most patterns start off with just a few stitches as this is the part that
will fit in the handle space on your mug and over the course of about 10 rows
you will increase the number of stitches required to form band around your mug.
It is surprising just how quickly the basic 'hug' knits-up. You can then
decorate it with buttons or embroidery...or even leave it plain if you prefer.
When I knit my 'hugs' I knit in a button-hole at the end so that it can
easily be fastened around the mug but if you don't feel confident to do this you
can use some ribbon to create ties.
I rarely follow a pattern exactly as I like to 'play' and see what I can
come up with. I took the basic pattern and with the addition of a few extra
stitches & rows I was able to create a matching 'hug' for my carafe.
'Hugs' can be quite addictive and it can be fun to create a special one for each member of the family.

OMG, those mug hugs are adorable. I'd try my hand at knitting...I used to knit scarves and wore them all year round (the fancier ones).
