Keep it simple, make it work #02

Welcome to the second week of my decluttering and organizing of home spaces series.

The project´s summary:
9 months to streamline your home spaces and systems
3 months for the practical spaces: kitchen, bathrooms, laundy room
3 months for the shared areas: entry hall, living room, dining room
3 months for the personal spaces: bedrooms, office, hobbies room
1 big task each week and daily {gentle} reminders, tips and cheering at my Facebook page. Like it to be able to receive them every day and record your progress with a friendly crew!

Theme 1: the practical / Month 1: the kitchen / Week 2: the pantry
pantry is a room where food, provisions, dishes, or linens are stored and served in an ancillary capacity to the kitchen. I don´t have a pantry, just cupboards but I can dream. ;)

On holidays I still work with the same principles,  same type of foods together
Day 1: the cans Eg: tomatoes, beans, corn, soups, champignons, condensed milk.
Check the "best before" dates. Throw away the ones with expired dates. Put the rest back gathering same type of contents together with newest cans at the back.

Day 2: packets Eg: flour, sugar, rice, pasta, soups, cake mix, jelly, puddings mix.
Check the "best before" dates. Throw away the ones with expired dates. Put the rest back gathering same type of contents together with newest packets at the back.
At the supermarket, many brands are changing boxes for pouches
Jade from "Organizing to make life easier" puts the dry goods into transparent hermetic containers
Making a dessert with flavourless jelly, half fat milk and half fat milk jam
Day 3: salad dressings and dry spices Eg: oil, vinegar, parsley, sage, thyme
Check the "best before" dates. Throw away the ones with expired dates. Put the rest back gathering same type of contents together with newest at the back.
Keep your salad dressings together for easy and quick access
Day 4: teas and coffee
Check the "best before" dates. Throw away the ones with expired dates. Put the rest back gathering same type of contents together with newest at the back.
Day 5: cereals, cookies and candy
Check the "best before" dates. Throw away the ones with expired dates. Put the rest back gathering same type of contents together with newest at the back.
You don´t need to put all your cookies´packets facing the same way. I find it easier to find the one I´m looking for if they are this way.
Haribo Goldbären
You may put candy left overs in plastic/glass containers.

Day 6: list: Food shopping
Saturdays are lists days. Now you know what you have, make a shopping list for what you need.

Day 7: enjoy your day off and come to my blog to read your next assignment.

My cupboards are usually fairly tidy and organised - it's the worktops that get cluttered LOL

I need to have a good 'clearing of the decks' so that it doesn't look like I've just returned from shopping and dumped everything on the top.

Love how manageable and understandable you've made this!

I rival the man from sleeping with the enemy movie!! All my tins have to face forward in use by date etc, same with cereals etc! lol
