July 2013 summary / August plans

For Creative Every Day challenge 2013 by Leah Piken Kolidas, I´m taking at least a picture a day for the whole year. This is my fourth time around with the Pic-a-day project and at the end of each month I make a mosaic of the month´s pictures and also summarize it in numbers for the My month in numbers feature by Julie Kirk.  Here are some inspirational instructions on how to go about it.

I´ve taken 210 of the possible 212 pictures for 2013 so far, here are the 31 that I chose for July  from the 156  I will be keeping: CLICK ON ANY PICTURE TO MAKE IT BIGGER

PS: for the #CommunalCount at With Julie Kirk´s page
156 pictures kept // 145 taken by me // 117 extras from hubbie´s trip to Ushuaia but those go to another folder // 273 total for the family // none printed

On the 3rd it was Tati´s 14th birthday. Her THREE closest friends came on Friday to celebrate with her.

After 19 years my beloved British can opener broke. You served us well my dear, we´ll miss you!

We have ONE German exchange student staying with us for TWO months. We became the central meeting point, so we´ve gone from a family of FOUR to a family of FIVE, SIX or EIGHT for breakfast! We were TWELVE for dinner on the 14th.
Four Argentinian friends with their four exchange classmates, one for each home
TWO visits to Tecnópolis. It is a free park with educational/entertaining exhibitions about science and technology with a touch of history and art for good measure. I took TWO girls on Monday and THREE boys and ONE girl on Friday.

We took FOUR boys and Tati to Animé Friends, an animé convention where we met TWO other girls. Susana, from the blog Diseña tu Vida, made the girls THREE matching Matryoshka jackets. They were very happy because many fans stopped them for a picture. :D
Daniel and the TWO boys spent FIVE days skiing and snowboarding in Ushuaia, the most southern city in the planet.

Plans for August:

* I´ve always enjoyed the quotes with pretty pictures from Facebook. It is time to create my own for my Paula - Buenos Aires page! The plan is to use our own pictures from around the country and add lines from songs I like or what friends say.
* Two years ago I received the Sparkles e-course mails from Jamie Ridler Studios. The plan is to go through it again and compare notes.
August 2011
* Keep up with my FB page, the decluttering and organizing series here on the blog and play with my Twitter account. Find me @PBAtweets!

Paula, you continue to amaze me. I am not sure how you do all that you do. I too took the Sparkles course with Jamie. Great idea to do it again.

Some great numbers there and I do love your photo collages - they must trigger so many memories when you look through them. Jennie x

That's a lot of shuffling teenagers around last month! I'd have been frightened I'd left one behind somewhere!

Those snowboarding photos look great and I hope you find yourself a suitable new can opener. You can get attached to silly things like that can't you? And you can never find another one as good!

I've added you to the board now: http://pinterest.com/notesonpaper/my-month-in-numbers/

Happy August - and all the visitor counting you'll have for the Communal Count!!

Julie :-)

We are hosting an exchange student from Korea for this year, isn't it a great experience? Looks like you are showing your exchange students a great time.

What a delightful list. And what fun practices you have in place like the daily photo and making a monthly collage. Happy August!

Interesting collection of numbers to go with those super photos Paula.
How do you cope with all those teens coming & going?
