Week #31 hosted by Clare Brown

I met Clare Brown back in 2004 @UKScrappers´ site. What a lovely lady she is and what a wonderful crafting career she has! Guest designer for several teams, with her work printed in prestigious UK magazines, she is generous with her time and talent when making gifts for dear friends.

These canvases were made as a housewarming gift for friends using burlap, lace, gesso, microbeads and masking tape to create the background. The images were stamped with waterproof grey ink. Ok, crafters! ANy ideas on how she made the huts? Yes! Corrugated card with acrylic paint swiped over. After that came the cute details: the bunting and the buttons to decorate.

With the beach theme that she chose to match her friend´s accent wall it is perfect for the summery week #31 in the Northern Hemisphere and for dreaming of summer down under.

Look at the cute details!

Delicate and elegant

Now on to the week´s summary:
For Creative Every Day challenge 2013 by Leah Piken Kolidas, I´m taking at least a picture a day for the whole year. I´ve checked 212 out of the possible 215 pictures for 2013 so far. Click on the pictures to see them bigger!

Monday, July 29th (207/210): Errrrmmmm, no. No photo today. Busy day, full of domestic chores. The kind you don´t think getting a picture of. And I didn´t. *oh, well, there´s always tomorrow* ;)

Tuesday, July 30th (208/211): and I almost missed it too! Pic taken at 23.30. NCIS is my favourite series at the moment. Criminal Minds is getting too gore for me.
Wednesday, July 31st (209/212): as we had to get up at 4am to take our German exchange student and a friend to the airport we had pizza for early, quick dinner. :) Three big pizzas for four teens and two adults. :D
Thursday, August 1st (209/212): I´m taking the Sparkles e-course by Jamie Ridler Studios again after 2 years. Sparkling self, here I go. :D
Friday, August 2nd (210/213): have I mentioned four teens? Yes? Just imagine the amount of food we need. ;)
Saturday, August 3rd (211/214): we hadn´t been to the movies for months! We got tickets for Red 2 and big buckets of pop corn.
Sunday, August 4th (212/215): even though they aren´t exactly young kids any more their grandma Su still buys them Kinder chocolate with toys. *sweet*

Clare's canvas set is lovely.

Ooo, I love NCIS - have the box sets up to season 7 so far. I'm glad I'm not the only one finding Criminal Minds a bit too gory - but it is a shame as I quite enjoyed that series.

NCIS is one of my faves too as well as I agree that Criminal Minds is getting to be a bit much.

Great pics! Nice way to tell a story.

I just love those beach huts. Recently I wanted to take a photo of some beach hut doors that were closed, which showed their bright colors. (Don't ask why - I just LIKED them.) But by the time I'd gone back to fetch the camera, the doors were all open and my lovely picture was no more :-(

I love Criminal Minds... Not seen much NCIS, my mum recommends it too lol

Great beach sets - our week of summer seems to have been and gone, they certainly cheer the place up :)

How did you like the Red 2 movie?

I seen the first one, RED and it was awesome. Been meaning to see the 2nd one but haven't gone yet!
