Finished scrapbooking layout for Day 6. My boy in Puerto Madryn. He´s about five years old in that picture. He loooooooved trains at that age.
I had the scraps laying around for a while. A page started to form. "Too simple", said my Inner Critic. My page now felt *not enough*. "You sure you don´t want to keep that scrap for later?", she has a way of stirring fear into me. "What if the *perfect* photo turns up later?" ~scarcity thoughts are another gift of hers~
In Quinn McDonald´s next book "The Inner Hero Art Journal: mixed media messages to Your Inner Critic" I´ll learn how to face my Inner Critic and get help from my Inner Hero. I´m sooooooo waiting by the door for it to arrive in December!
By now what I did was this: I took several circles from the patterned paper where the picture would be (sometimes scarcity can be turned into resourcefulness) and added them to balance the lines and add some pretties. Some alpha stickers did the rest of the job.

I just love how creative you are! I've never scrapbooked before but now you have me inspired!
Healthy blessings
What a great way to celebrate a special memory, and congratulations on the first week of AEDM! Don't you just wish we could send that Inner Critic off to do something useful for a change, instead of just getting in the way? I have way too much unused craft stuff because the project isn't worthy enough and I might need it for something special later. So good to hear I'm not alone!
Oh that inner critic is such a pain in the patoot! Your page looks wonderful. I don't scrap and love looking at what others do with paper. It's amazing! Happy week 1 & congrats!
These are great! They're coming together so beautifully. That nasty inner critic! Like I said on FB, mine says the same things to me while I sort through my arts and crafts supplies. I've only recently found the ability to push through that feeling of not wanting to waste something, or save it for the perfect moment. Now I just keep telling myself, "commit!" every time I start to think like that. I ordered (and just received today) The War of Art: Break through the Blocks and Win Your Creative Battles. I can't wait to read it!!
