December 8th is Virgin Mary´s Day and it is traditionally the day when the family trees go up in Argentina.
At home it is a family thing. Starting by the Christmas Carol cd that I bought in Holland in 1993. It is played through all the decorating time. :)
The first ornament to go on the tree is our doves heart. It was the first ornament we bought in Past Times (a store in the UK) for our first Christmas. The last one is the Nativity scene. On top of the tree our beloved Gloriana.
And of course the family picture that includes our dog. :)

I made a start on the decorations at home at the weekend but have yet to get the tree sorted.

Love your cute holiday blog header! :)
So fun to see you decorating, but I can't get over you wearing shorts! It is SO COLD here! :)
Enjoy your holiday preparations!
You are so pretty, Paula! Great photos. Looks like such a fun time. I love traditions.
What a nice family tradition
and I forgot about Mary's birthday the 8th and was reminded by my younger sister before hand
I was looking at another blog and seen your comment so thought I would just say hello and Merry Christmas
We are to have freezing rain and snow this weekend, not short weather in the states
