Out and about in May 2014

For May 2014´s update and goals check in I´m doing {My month in numbers}. It is a project taking place at Julie Kirk´s blog  where you sum up your month with numbers. Here are some inspirational instructions on how to go about it. This is my 25th consecutive participation.

I´m keeping 77 photos for the month. Here are my favourites from each day. Click on the mosaic to see it bigger.

I followed about half of the #photoprompts for May:  Find June´s prompts here!

"On line" goals:
In May my Paula - Buenos Aires Facebook page grew by 26 followers. I´m hoping for the 600 followers milestone next. *I even have my celebration sign ready* The goal for 2014 is 1000. My Twitter account for which I didn´t set goals is growing too. 146 persons are following @PBAtweets.

Plus I wrote 4 Wednesdays posts:
+ Reduce the scope and keep the schedule James Clear on what to do when you don´t feel like showing up.
+ Blog planning: big projects, small tasks
+ The cost of lost opportunity
+ A moving story, literally

The Ultimate Linky And I was a cohost every Saturday for The Ultimate Linky Bloglovin party. If you want to get to know more cool people on different platforms and get people to know you and your work visit Tammy at The Ultimate Linky.

My "hobbies" goals for this year include:
60 layouts (0 so far), 12 fiction books ( 0 in May, 4 total), 6 non fiction ( 0 for May, 3 in total ) and 6 rereadings (1 began in Jan).

My "go out" goals for 2014:
From the 6 new places to eat: this month, that is 2 total  ,  1 craft fairs in May ( 5 total), 1 animé exhibitions (2 out of total Yay! ) and  from the 3 new Museums the count is still at 1 art exhibit in Jan.
Cosplay girls at animé convention

It seems that every month this year starts with a flurry of activities and then things get calmer, smoother and a bit of "I´ve had enough".

Good luck with your goals. I find it helps to out them out there and announce them. I know for me it makes me work harder to attain them.

Paula, I discovered a new site for icons and I¨ve been playing a lot! :D

Thanks Janelle.

I agree Robert, the more effort I put into it the farther I get. :)

Thanks Patty. I will be adding some more goals mid year.

Thanks Mary Ann. I´m the "tracker" type. ;)

Liz, I like to keep records of the ordinary things in life. We tend to disregard those and they are the most important at the end of the day.

Thanks Amanda. I will publish some of those on Monday. :)

Great to know there are other optimists out there Lisa. :D

Thank you Franc! You are so kind.

I like it too Chelsea, both to cheer on and to get new ideas.

Looking forward to that Michelle! :)

Thank you Jaime! That´s so sweet.

I agree Ann, acountability is a great component in getting things done.

Thanks Rubbie Ann!

Come again and have fun Nadia. It´s a great way to get to know people on line.

We are camera sisters Irene. :D It´s a fun little camera with enough features and light weight to carry around.

Thank you Michelle.

There are many things that you can measure on blogs Rhonda. Having a "bigger" one means reaching my message across to more people. :)

Writing your goals down and sharing them with others really does help to hold yourself accountable.

The best way to get followers is to be active, post things to keep the people wanting to come back.

HI Paula! Found you over on Chaos and Kiddos for the Social Media Saturday linky! I love the idea of setting a goal for finding new places to eat. My husband and I (and our daughter) live here in Italy and we literally go to two places - because I'm so afraid of bad food- def going to set a find new restaurant goal for us!

Thanks Rena. My on line life is quite active.

You are doing great on your promoting April!

It was quite a low month for my images library, but it still adds up. ;)

Yes, the sharing makes me take a closer look indeed.

Mine carries a theme along the year. AT the end you will have 12 pictures for each aspect of your daily life Michelle.

Katrina, most of my pictures nowadays are taken with my phone.

Thanks Rebecca. I like "different" too.

Thanks Joanna! I´ve been working on it this year. :)

A mix of information and entertainment works Natalie. :)

Marielle, having goals with numbers and dates help you focus the strategies for those.

Thanks MaryJane. I use calendars too.

Hello and welcome Madaline. Italian food is very popular here. I live in a neighbourhood that is growing a lot so we are having new places nearby too.

Good luck on achieving your goal. Its easy to get followers but the harder part is keeping them to stay and to keep following and supporting you.

I'm guessing that having a goal to receive more page likes makes you do more to promote the page? I tend to put the link to mine in my shop emails and occasionally mention it on my blog ... but most of the time I don't know where people find me from ... or how to make more visit me!

I'm glad I didn't set goals for reading ... compared to last year this year I've hardly read anything! Not sure what I'm doing instead though! I'm happy to say I've probably dined out a few more times than the number of books I've read. So it's not all bad!

Your month is safely pinned to the Month in Numbers board with the other number crunchers now Paula: http://pinterest.com/notesonpaper/my-month-in-numbers/

Here's to a bright and happy June for you all.

Julie :-)
