Saying Yes to ...

Wednesday. A day for wishing. Today Jamie asked us "What do you wish to say Yes to?"Asking for what I want. It took me hours to finally ask dh for a sandwich on Saturday. At this point you frown and ask yourself "What is there SO difficult in that?" Wellllllllllllll. I´ve been "trained" not to ask for anything, not to "bother" others. I do everything for myself and as much as I can for others. In that case, asking for something is hard. Asking for stopping at the delicatessen shop and actually buy something for me was big. Asking dh for a sandwich was big. I could do it in the frame of Mother´s day on Sunday (in Argentina Mother´s day is the 3rd Sunday in October every year). I wonder if I could start asking for things for me now.
Motherhood. This is a picture of my mom and my daughter on mom´s day. I´m the ultimate chicken mom. Lol.
My kids growing up. Some moms wish their kids to stay little (e.g: my mil says she cried buckets each time one of her kids finished Kindergarten). I thrive with my kids. I enjoyed each stage:babyhood, toddlerhood, Kindergarten, first years of primary school, now I´m on to late years of primary and first years of secondary. Cuddles, singing, playing, and teaching are commom elements in all of these. This is a picture of my son (13, doesn´t he look older?) learning golf from his uncle. His first time with a golf club in his hands.
Being kind with those around me. Cute bugs are easier than ugly ones, aren´t they? ;)

As Paula wishes for herself I wish for her also.

May she be able to ask for what she wants ...like me!

Oh Paula, this is such a great wish, especially for women. We are, indeed, raised with the notion that doing without or accepting second best is okay. Well, it's NOT! Good for you, asking for the sandwich you wanted. How empowered do you feel now?

As Paula boldly wish for herself, so I wish for her as well. So there!

Yup I understand..I hate it when I ask and nothing happens..I just do it myself. I was trained this way too and experience with abuse reinforced it. I am just now beginning to do the same thing..speak up!! You go girl with little steps like sandwiches ..they get bigger as you go!!
The children..oh I so deeply understand what you are saying. I guess it is why I have five! My last little bird is in Kindergarten this year and it's killing me!!! Enjoy them!
Namaste, Sarah

Oh! Paula! I can so very much relate to you not asking for anything. I have beeen the same way. Some years back a very dear friend helped me understand the importance of asking for what we want. I never forgot that and I practice now with all of you in Wishcasting.

So I totally support your wish to learn to ask for things for yourself. TOTALLY!

As Paula so rightly wishes for herself, with loving intention I wish it for her also!

This is definitely an issue all women should work on, we deserve our desires!

I totally understand how hard it was to ask for that sandwich. (I almost typed "sandwish"!) Keep up the good work! You deserve what you want.

What a big step to take if it is so against your nature. Try to ask for a little something every now & then...you deserve it.
