My answer is MUSIC. Not only the music itself but what a certain song / album means to me.

It all started with Karen´s prompt #4 for her 52 in 2010 project. She gives a prompt each Sunday. Many scrappers make a layout out of it. I reflect (or ramble ;) ) about it in a file for posterity. I had a lot of fun with Music, telling stories (Oh, that´s Leah´s theme for the month. Cool I love multitasking) on influences, lyrics, album shopping, favourites and such.

As my word for 2010 is LISTEN, I joined both and created "Upload Monday". Each Monday I upload one of my CDs to my laptop.

Music starts family conversations and lovely moments too. E.g: yesterday afternoon Matu and Tati were talking while doing homework. Matu asked Tati "Why?" (in English) and Tati told us that "Why" was a word in the song she had learnt at school. Hello, Goodbye by The Beatles. Cue to my rummaging through my Cd collection and finding The White Album and everybody going to the living room to listen to the song. As we had to move forward to find the song, I started naming them (just a few seconds of each) and Matu loved the game. "Can you do that with the whole album? Where is the chronometer?" Ladies and gentlemen: I got an average of 12/14 in all three albums that we perused. :D And I got to tell them the story of my first Beatles album at 6 years old and how I got it on Cd the first time we traveled to the UK.
