What limits do you wish to set? plus February update

Wednesday Wishcasting time!!! :D

Confession time: at first I thought ... Naaaaa. I´m ok. A few years back I read Coaching yourself for suceess by Talane Miedaner, which helped putting into words and polishing what I was already doing. My advice to my own kids when they have to say No to something: "be kind and firm". Now that we are all big Cesar Millan´s fans they say "calm and assertive". Note: looking for "assertiveness" spelling I found this definition which you may find helpful in setting limits: a form of behavior characterized by a confident declaration or affirmation of a statement without need of proof; this affirms the person's rights or point of view without either aggressively threatening the rights of another (assuming a position of dominance) or submissively permitting another to ignore or deny one's rights or point of view.

Back to the limits thing: I wish to limit myself. Sounds strange? When everybody is going the other way taking the limits off their lives, I wish to limit myself? The point is I´m overwhelmed. The world is so BIG and yummy!!
So now I wish to limit my eagerness to do every new project available out there and read every blog and learn every technique and all the mountain of cool stuff that keeps piling up. That will help me not to feel discouraged when I can´t keep up. Take for example February, my check in is ... ermmmm, how can I put this? Kind of Ouch.

* Creative Every Day by Leah Piken. February theme: passion. NOTHING
* The Sketchbook Challenge. February theme: opposites. NOTHING
* The Joy of love. Daily photography prompts and tips. This will shape my 365 project. TOOK THE PICTURES BUT DROPPED THE PROMPTS AFTER ABOUT 10 DAYS:
* Each Wednesday, the Wishcasting tribe gathers. HALF
* On my birthday I will start my Wishcasting workbook and work on one wish each Saturday for a whole year up to my 45th birthday. DONE
* On the 18th, the Full Moon Board. NOT FINISHED

That being said. It was not a bad month. We did lots of cool things. Like (click on mosaic to enlarge the image):

Yes, we do sometimes take on too much. As Paula wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

As Paula wishes for herself, I wish for her also. I feel the same way...there is so much out there, good stuff, but it is so easy to feel overwhelmed by it all, trying to "keep up".

Hola Paula! I'm dealing with the same challenge...I love your phrase "the world is big and yummy". There's so much out there that we want to sample, but sometimes we have to say enough. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also.

As you wish it for yourself, I wish it for you too. I like the notion of reigning yourself in from overspending your energy. Jacs x

What an interesting take on "limits". You've given me some food for thought. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also.

Sometimes what we intend to do doesn't end up being as important as what we end up doing. Sounds like you had a good month even if you didn't get to check off some of the things on your list!

I'm so excited for your coming class. Can't wait to see what you create there!
