>>> "What are the ways you see me serving naturally, without even trying? What do you see me doing for others that lights me up?"
Julie explains that "serving" is akin to expressing your gifts to the world, in your community, in your day-to-day life. And then the same day Jamie Ridler's Wishcasting question was "What gifts do you wish to share?"
This came after the weekend I was:
a) Not chosen for a group
b) unfriended by two FB friends
c) got off a side bar list (yes, by then I was kind of paranoid and checking all the places I used to be)
I refused to go into full pity party mode. ;) I decided I´d do my best for those who still want to be in touch with me and I was grateful that the mission was to ask others so I could be off the hook.
I´d really appreciate if you´d answer the question for me. If you wouldn´t ... well, thank you for reading this far anyway! :D
My wish for today is to be able to see in myself what others see in me.
I asked my beloved Padders and I´m keeping all their answers here to retrieve them when I feel I´ve lost my North. :)
Ginger: Although we've never met I know I would love to spend time with you. Your posts all over the internet light up my day and make me smile. You have a generous spirit and make others smile xxx
Clare: awww paula - you are lovely kind, compassionate, caring person who gives a lot of time to helping others around the world via the power of the internet. I remember well you letting you letting folks practise their Spanish on you!
Maria: We've never met but I can only think of you as someone I would like to have as a friend in real life. You always come across as very warm and caring and I can imagine your home is lovely and welcoming xxx
Yizz: I look forward to your posts on here , they are always upbeat and cheer me up.
Jaffne: Ohhh, you're always so upbeat and positive - you seem to cast everything in a very cheerful light, and you're always supportive and enthusiastic of others goals and achievements - I get the feeling it'd be impossible for others to be down around you...or that you could ever sustain a pity party for more than a few minutes, before shaking it off and bouncing on to the next fun thing in life
Izzy: i enjoy your posts too Paula! I always think of you as being warm and cheerful!
Em: Thing is, without you possibly realising, everything you post is automatically interesting because it is posted from another part of the world with a completely different culture and often a different view on things. Like the others say you are always upbeat, caring, interested in other people's lives and appear to want to make a difference in the lives of those around you.
Ali: i think you are one of those lovely people who SHINE out and fetch love and light into other people's lives.
Jen: I can only enthusiastically agree with each and every poster before me. Even though we've never met, I can tell from your posts that you are a warm, loving, compassionate person and a fabulous mum. Like Em says, the fact that you are half way around the world just adds to your interestingness (if that's even a word)!
Kathryn: i agree with the others, i always get such a burst of sunshine from your posts. i imagine you as living each day to the full, and putting your all into it. you have passion and zest for life, and you share it in a very natural and uncomplicated way.
it comes across that you don't have a hidden agenda, you are what you are, you're happy with it. maybe that's your gift... helping people see that you can be happy as you are. it's ok to be you and to SHINEDebbie: You are a gorgeous person with a beautiful soul and im proud to call you a friend
Haggis: I don't know you at all except through your posts here (and my occasional visits to your blog) but to me you seem to be a warm, caring and creative person. I enjoy that you are so open to sharing your photography skills with others (and I do love your holiday photos) and your enthusiasm for your crafting
All these answers came in a 24 hour period. I LOVE my friends.
Katie: You're Fab- love you
Mel: I can't quote what everyone on here has said, I'm not that clever - but if I could work out how to do it I would....... and KT just summed it all up xxx
Karen: Paula, I have never met you but feel I 'know' you. Your posts always fill me with great joy. You have such a calm and yet fun approach, you never say negative things and always seem upbeat. You share such wonderful photos which make me smile (and make me wish i was there) I know I told you only this week I wish we were not the other side of the world to each other so focus on that. You are one of the people on my top ten list of people i really really wish I could meet! You really and truly do shine as one of life's lovely people.

Paula,
I always enjoy reading your posts, seeing what's going on in your part of the world, feeling your energy and creativity.
I'm glad that you're focusing your unique contributions and not on disappointments.
Sending you some virtual hugs.
As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also!
Paula you live a world away from me but you have shared your life & family with me 'virtually' and when you drop by my little bit of cyberspace you brighten my world.
Toni xx
As Paula wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.
In you I see such sparkle, such exuberance. You bring a sense of fun and liveliness. You bring joy. You bring generosity. You bring a feeling of family and love. You are a bright light!
I like that you are authentic and approachable. I sense that if we ever met, we would feel instantly very at ease around one another.
Hugs, K
Paula, I would like to share an award with you - please drop by.
