What do you wish to focus on?

Wishcasting Wednesday at Jamie´s! You can read what other wishers are talking about at today´s post.
Picture taken on April 10th. My art table has been receiving quite a bit of loving this month!
Picture taken April 26th. I am all over the place. I try a bit of everything which leaves me with ... lots of unfinished experiments. I wanted to learn oil paints patinas. I made the grand total of ... one before going on the textured boxes. I textured the base of two boxes lids. There they are abandoned at the art classroom because "I don´t have the right embellishment" You may roll your eyes at my excuse now. ;)
I also have a few art journal pages in different degrees of work, all waiting for "something".

My wish: I wish to focus on one technique at a time.

Yes, I know there is a lot to learn. And it is so much fun. Still, one thing I can work on at the time is better than learning a lot of on line theory and doing nothing. :)
On other aspects of my life: I wish to focus on my kids school work. This is the timetable that is right by the door in the kitchen (they do their homework at the kitchen table, even if both have their own desks in their rooms) so I can check what needs to be done each day.

I love the organization of your kids homework. As Paula wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

Your table is a lot like mine. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also.

As Paula wishes for herself, I wish for her as well.

As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you too!

I know too well how easy it is to get excited about something new and not to stick with (focus on) something I really want to learn. One thing at a time.

Oh Paula, that table looks just like mine, started and unfinished projects ;-) As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you (and me too!) May it be so.

Relax, craetive people multi-task. I often read three books at a time in varying genres. And I sometimes work on three projects at once. :-)

The joys of being multi-passionate, curious...and perhaps impatient? Or is that just me? :-D As you wish for yourself, i wish for you also. x

We all struggle with organization! As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also!

I'm sure you will get to finishing these projects once you have had the fun & enjoyment of learning the techniques.

You sound like me with the many projects on the go. Good luck with your focus.

In a lot of ways our wishes are very similar this week. sometimes the urge to learn and experience can overwhelm us.

As you wish for yourself, so I truly wish for you also.

As you wish for yourself, I also wish happy wishes for you! Here is my wish as well! http://adgb.blogspot.com/2011/04/wishcasting-wednesday-what-do-you-wish_27.html

I think it is fitting. I get to hearing about all these techniques and want to try them all at once too. I recently learned tissue paper collage and mod podge and then reusing a canvas. I have newspaper down on mine table too. Like minds. :)

As you wish for yourself Paula I too wish for you.

I am very familiar with multiple projects in varying degrees of completeness. I hope you finish everything that inspires you.

May all your wishes be fulfilled, especially as they relate to your children!

Oh my gosh! That is just like me! I think we creative types may have eyes that are bigger than our hours in a day! When you figure this one out, let me know...I could use the same gift...like, now! As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also!

I can totally relate! Sometimes, it's good, though, to have multiple projects going on at once (I wouldn't even be able to count how many I have going on right now). That way you can set one aside when it needs a little space and have something else to fall back on. I think you've been doing lovely work and certainly seem energized about it all!

"My wish: I wish to focus on one technique at a time."

I have the same problem! As Paula wishes for herself, so I wish for her also. Maybe some of it will rub off on me!

I found you on PPF and as I read this post, I felt like I could have written it. I've recently expanded my artistic efforts to collage and find myself in exactly the same position of wanting to try every medium, every technique, every idea ... all at once. So I have lots of starts and few finishes. But, I'm working on it :)
