Happysnappy, a storyteller with a camera: Art Every Day Month in November 2014

Over 10 years ago Leah Piken Kolidas launched a wonderful project called Art Every Day Month. Each November artists from all over the world gather at Leah´s website Creative Every Day to share what they are doing.

Inspired by Nanowrimo, Art Every Day Month was created as a challenge to encourage people to make something every day to foster more creativity, so if you make just one piece of art per week or just one for the whole month, that’s fine. The idea is to bring more creativity into your life, not to make you feel overwhelmed, pressured or guilt-stricken. Art is also loosely defined here. in the sense of anything creative, whether that be painting, drawing, knitting, sewing, cooking, decorating, writing, photography, clay, jewelry-making or whatever!

If you use Twitter or Instagram you can tag your work with #aedm2014 to connect with others doing the challenge. Leah thinks it’s helpful (and fun) to share your creations, even if it feels a little scary at first, but it’s not required, so do what feels best for you! Take some time to stop in and visit some of the other bloggers who are participating and help cheer them on. There will be a Mr. Linky widget posted daily at Leah´s blog where people can leave a link to their blog posts.

I´ve been participating in AEDM since 2006 and every year I meet new, wonderfully creative people through the process, some of those will be with me this year again as guests in my blog.

This is such a great idea! I love crafting with my kids. Most recently we tie dyed shirts and they had a blast!

What a great idea to keep the creative juices flowing. I’d have to say my favorite crafting projects are holiday themed. It doesn’t really matter what the medium is, just the theme. I love themes. =D

This is such a neat idea. I am not a very creative crafty person so I don’t do much now that my son is grown. My friend loves to scrapbook so I will share this with her.

  I can´t even remember how I came across the project Rebecca. Check it out, there are about 100 participants a day to choose from if you want to visit people and be inspired.

Interesting event. I do participate in NaNoWriMo every year… one of my favorite things to do. I think if I could get my son involved, something like this would be even more fun.

I do not have an arts and crafts bone in my body! Someone once asked me what my stick man was suppose to be! My kids on the other hand are amazing artists and have submitted some of their work in local art shows. This is a wonderful way to share, thanks for the info.
