What do you wish to dare?

Rachel, whose blog I follow because of her knitting, linked to a throat singing video. I had never heard of that and spent a good half hour perusing different examples. It´s an art form and also a cultural thing.

This was the first step on thinking about music.

Some days ago while waiting at the bank I hummed "The body electric". Yesterday at another bank queue I hummed "The nutcracker" and as I came home I searched for my CD.

As you tap your fingers on the desk and think "That´s enough, get to the wish already!" I hasten to say: what I wish to dare ... is to sing out loud.

To sing and feel the joy of singing. To share a song with my kids out in the streets of Buenos Aires. Or anywhere in the world, for that matter. :D

That's an awesome wish! I've been singing to my baby lately. It's not born yet, but it can hear me. And it's more fun singing to somebody than nobody, i think : )

Sing, sing a song, sing out loud, sing out strong (are you hearing Karen Carpenter yet...?)

As Paula musically wishes for herself, so I wish for her also!

As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also! In honor of Sesame Street's 40th birthday, remember....
Sing...
Sing a song...
Sing out loud...
Sing out strong...

You can do it!

May you sing so loud that I can hear you from all the way over here! As you wish for yourself today, I lovingly wish for you too.

There is also something called Spriit Singing which I have done, which is really great. Here is the link:

As Paula wishes for herself, so do I also wish for her with all my heart!

I know what you mean...I rarely sing out loud in front of anyone else, not even my husband. But he surprised me recently (upon my singing) by saying that I had a good voice when I "waxed strong in my confidence". Hmmmmm.....
