Time to party! G+ Linky

Tammy from The Ultimate Linky, Renee from Mommy Goes On, Tammy from My Life Abundant, Elizabeth from Positive Kismet, and Kim from KidPep run this party every week on their blogs, and this week I am able to cohost with them!

You know that I love both organizing and parties so being a co-host of this G+ party is an honour and a joy for me!

Here are some reasons why doing a G+ party on Friday is The Ultimate Party:

  1. Posting on G+ helps with SEO optimization.
  2. Posting on G+ helps your posts get ranked higher in Google's search engine.
  3. Friday is supposed to be the best time for interaction on G+, specifically between 11a.m. - 2 p.m. and 7 - 10 p.m. The linky will remain open until 9 p.m. for the West Coast bloggers and for those who work during the day. Please link up as early as possible so that you get the most interaction on your posts.
  4. To help you gain more followers on G+.
  5. To interact with and to get to know other bloggers. For most parties you follow people but never interact. Here you get to see who has the same interests/niche as you do!
  6. BECAUSE IT'S FUN!! Why do a party if it isn't going to be fun?Come party at The Ultimate Party on G+ every Friday!

Here is a little extra information for this party:

  1. You can follow our G+ page (The Ultimate Party) if you want to see our updates and see who we feature during the party.
  2. If you wish, you can follow our Pinterest board called The Ultimate Party where all of your hosts can pin your great posts.
  3. Optional: You can include your pin URL that coincides with your post on G+ so that others can pin it if they want to do so. You would say something like, "Try out my family's favorite Easter pie. It's the best pie ever! Go here to see the recipe: http://theultimatelinky/ . . . Pin it for later: http://pinterest.com/ . . .) #theultimateparty" If you repin the pin, please try to remember to include the hashtag #theultimateparty in the pin description.
  4. We would love it if you grabbed our button!

My mug is a piece of art, literally

Just like I did, Tracey Fletcher King started projects in June, only different ones from me.

One of them is a project where for 61 days she is going to be painting her friends cups and mugs.
She is doing this because she thinks it will be fun and also because it will challenge her to approach how she paints and depicts a single subject. She will be spending 20 mins on them and doing them onto index cards in keeping with the Index Card A Day Project over at Daisy Yellow, using whatever materials she feels inspired to use on the day from watercolour and ink, though to a bit of mixed media.

On June 3rd I got an e-mail message to let me know that my mug was ready:

Here´s the mug at home:

What sweetness do you wish for?

Each Wednesday I participate in Wishcasting Wednesdays at Jamie Ridler Studios. Here´s this week´s prompt and a place to link your wish to! Jamie Ridler´s prompt and link post.

Sweetness is already coming my way in the form of blogging interviews this week.

First in Delia from Blogformatting´s interview. Delia has a fab site for bloggers. I totally love her tagline: Helping women bloggers stay in their genius zone. She´s very clear and practical in her advice, with many actionable points per post. Go read the interview here and leave some comment luv too. ;) You can also follow her on her Facebook page.

Another sweetness in my "on line" life this week is a new award for Happysnappy. Susana from DiseƱa tu vida bestowed the Best Blog award on my blog! Thanks Susana! It´s an honour for me to receive it.

She also asks some questions about blogging and life:

1. What prompted you to start your blog?
All my crafting friends were starting theirs back in 2005. With my own I could go and visit blogs and other bloggers could come and visit me. An on line show and tell. :)

2.What does your blog provide you?
Fun! A warm, safe space to share my work. A place to save my memories. A gathering hub for like minded humans.

3. Where do you find inspiration?
Daily life. :D I write about what my family and friends do, the places we go to, the foods we eat, the adventures we have, the way I organize my home, the pictures I take, the art I like, the cool people I meet.

4. Do you plan your posts in advance?
I plan my guests´ posts so everyone has a space and also a {gentle} reminder just in case as some have been scheduled since January. I know I have weekly summaries on Monday for my a-picture-a-day posts but I need to wait till all the pics have been taken. I know there are Wishcasting posts on Wednesdays but need to wait till the actual day to have the prompt from Jamie.
Other posts like awards, my own guest posts and life events are written on the event.

5. Do you have new ideas for your blog?
Keep visiting and see! ;)

6. How long do you dedicate to your blog?
I loose count because I do it by bits with a lot of other on line and off line activities in between

7.When is the best time for you to create?
Late at night. I´m the owl type.

8. Which place would you like to see?
Tierra del Fuego.

9.Hobbies?
Facebooking at Paula - Buenos Aires and scrapbooking. Oh! Both have "book" in the name. I love reading too and I´m a professional librarian.
